Philosophy:
In our hurried lives we often don’t stop and truly appreciate the beauty in our world. I want to be able to share that beauty and make time stand still.

Artistic Beginnings:
As a Kansas City native with an Art Therapy degree, drawing and painting has always been a part of my life, but only recently my main focus. Since 1981, I have been working in the graphics and printing industry. In 2000, after visiting the Kansas City Artists Coalition’s Open Studios, I discovered the Olathe Visual Artists. My involvement with other Kansas City art organizations and my introduction to pastel soon followed.

Pastel is the most wonderful medium.The pastel leaves facets of shimmering color as it is drawn against the surface. The subject seems to come alive in layer upon layer.
